Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is one of the world's fastest growing watersports, and nowhere is it more accessible than on the cable.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced rider, the cable is a great place to ride.
As you'd expect from a cable park we've got some great wakeboarding and wakeskating obstacles - a fun box (see right) which comprises an A-Frame, a box and a wall ride. As the biggest obstacle in
the country you've just gotta come and ride it!. Our other obstacles include two kickers and two sliders.

Wakeboard Competitions
We have a lively wakeboard scene at sheffield with many of our riders
entering not just our local competitions but National and European level comps
too. Our on site shop sponsors the hugely successful Ten Feet High Wake and Skate Series which is a montly wakeboard and wakeskate competition. If you are interested in competiting please ask at the cable for
information.
Safety on the Obstacles (Kicker and Sliders)
Because of the potential danger which the obstacles present to riders
using them (which we appreciate is part of the attraction too!) you will need
to wear a helmet if you plan to use any obstacles. We do have a limited supply of helmets available to hire and
they are also available to buy in our on-site shop. If you have not used these
obstacles before, be sure to ask one of our instructors beforehand. Please note, we
do not allow our hire wakeboards to be taken over the sliders and kickers, if you are planning to hit these
you will need to use your own equipment.
Buying a Wakeboard
Yes, if you want to hit our obstacles you'll need to own some kit. Wakeboards vary enormously
in shape and size (and price!), our on site shop Ten Feet High is staffed by wakeboarders and wakeskaters so you can be sure you're getting the best advice before you buy.
