Q. How old do you need to be to go on the Aqua Park?
8 – 10 year olds
Children will need to be aged 8 years and over to go on the aqua park and at least 122cm tall. 8-10 year olds will need to have at least one adult per three children with them on the park (adults must pay to participate too). It is your responsibility to check that you meet this requirement. Our booking system will allow you to exceed this ratio but when you arrive we will check that the ratios are being met (you may be meeting other adults on a different booking). We reserve the right to refuse entry to children that do not look 8 years old.
Age 11 – Under 18’s
Children between the age of 11 and under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult, who should remain and spectate from the shore (they do not need to pay to go on the aqua park if they do not want to).
All under 18’s must have parental consent (parent/ guardian must sign their disclaimer).

Q. How do I book?
You can book online via our website up to one hour before the session starts. If you experience any problems with our booking system please use our contact us page as our cable ski reception staff will be unable to assist with technical booking queries.
You will need to bring your email receipt in order to check in along with the bank card used for the booking transaction.
No Phone Bookings
We do NOT TAKE PHONE BOOKINGS. If you have an enquiry about an exclusive booking please use our contact form. Our cable ski staff on the reception will not be able to help with this.
Q. Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes, you must be able to swim
Yes, you must be able to swim 50 metres unaided. You are likely to go under water and should be confident in the water. You also have to swim to the Aqua Park to gain access.
Q. How long before my session should I arrive?
Please arrive at least an hour before your session. You will need time to check in, get changed and take part in a safety brief. The meet up for the safety brief will 20 mins before the start of your session and if you miss the safety brief you will not be able go go onto the park. If the later session has space we may be able to get you on but we cannot guarantee this.
PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to arrive in good time. You are not eligible for a refund if you miss your session start time.
Q. Can I cancel or change the time of my booking?
Amending or Cancelling a Booking
Up to 10 days beforehand you can email us to change the date or time of your booking or cancel. After this time your booking becomes non refundable or transferable.
Q. Do I need to wear a wetsuit? what can I wear?
What to Wear
It isn’t compulsory to wear a wetsuit, that’s why wetsuit hire is optional on your booking. You must wear a bouyancy aid (which we provide).
The only clothing you are allowed to wear is tight clothing, for example leggings, shorts, tight fitting t-shirts or vest tops etc. Unfortunately we cannot accept anybody wearing loose clothing as it presents a hazard.
Shoes are not allowed on the Aqua Park – wetsuit socks are the only footwear permitted.
Jewellery must be removed before you enter the park. This includes ALL removable earrings. If you have recently had any piercings you must apply tape to cover them.
Wearable Cameras can be used but ONLY secured by a chest harness. We cannot be held responsible for any lost devices – wearing a camera is at your own risk.
Q. I wear glasses, can I wear these on the aqua park?
Wearing glasses is NOT permitted on the aqua park – contact lenses or prescription goggles are our recommended alternative.
Swimming goggles are allowed on the park.
Q. Do I need to be fit to take part/ are there any heath requirements?
Heath and Fitness Requirements
On arrival/ when booking you will be asked to sign to say that you do not suffer from epilepsy or any other medical condition rendering you unfit to take part in this physically exerting activity. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
You will need to be fit enough to pull yourself up out of the water, and it can be very tiring.
Q. Can I leave the park mid session?
No Re-Entry to the park
If you leave the park mid-session, for safety reasons you will NOT be able to rejoin the session. No refund will be given.
Q. What happens if it is too windy for the park to open?
We cannot open during high winds or adverse weather conditions (lightening). We will refund your session if we have to close the Aqua Park for this reason.
Q. Is there a cafe on-site / can I bring a picnic?
We have a cafe serving take away food and drinks and a licensed bar. Our cafe and bar do not currently take card payments (we are looking to address this). We have a “no picnic” policy on the cafe tables around our building, but we are in a country park and you are welcome to picnic on the grass in other areas of Rother Valley Country Park.
Q. When do you open for the 2017 season?
We don’t have an opening date for 2017 yet, but expect to confirm this before the end of September, when we will start taking bookings online.
