Sheffield Cable Water Ski Ltd online bookings are processed by SagePay.co.uk via Checkfront.co.uk. Your credit card details are entered on a secure page and encrypted using SSL technology. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Sheffield Cable Water Ski LTD.
By making a booking with us it is assumed that you have read, understand and accept the following terms & conditions. Regretfully, we do reserve the right for our staff to ask you to leave the premises if you do not abide by the Terms and Conditions outlined below. In such cases, no refund will be given.
All persons entering the Cable Ski or Aqua Park must have a valid booking email confirmation with a status of PAID. All bookings are only valid on the date and time of the booking on our system and shown on your email confirmation. You must bring the payment card used along with a copy of the email invoice confirmation to check in for your booking.
Booking for the Aqua Park is currently online only. We advise that you pre-book online for the cable ski too, particularly during weekends and bank holidays. You can book online at www.sheffieldcablewaterski.com. Sheffield Cable Water Ski reserves the right to refuse admission without refund or transfer.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND ACCEPTANCE
Your booking is not confirmed until payment is taken by us after authorisation. We reserve the right to cancel bookings at any time. If we cancel your booking we will offer a full refund or offer a suitable alternative booking time.
Our Site will guide you through the booking process. Before submitting your Booking to us you will be given the opportunity to review your Booking and amend it. Please ensure that you have checked your Booking carefully before submitting it and that each guest is able to satisfy the Entry Conditions (below). By submitting your Booking, you agree that you have authority to make the booking on behalf of your party and that the booking is subject to these terms and conditions.
If you need to cancel or alter your booking, the cancellation policy notice period is different for the Aqua Park and Cable Ski. For the Aqua Park we require a minimum of 10 days notice by email/ phone to cancel or reschedule a booking. For the cable ski we require a minimum of 24 hours notice by email/phone to reschedule or refund. If you do not get a prompt reply to your email we may not have received it. Please phone to confirm in this case. Cancellations incurred with less than the correct notice period will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling. All refunds will incur a £5 admin fee.
TRANSFERRAL OF BOOKINGS
If your booking needs to be transferred, Sheffield Cable Water Ski requires a minimum of 10 days notice for the Aqua Park and 48 hours notice for the Cable Ski and this must be rebooked within 28 days of your initial activity date. This will be subject to Sheffield Cable Water Ski’s cable ski availability.
ACCEPTANCE OF OUR ENTRY CONDITIONS
If Bookings are made on behalf of other guests, you accept the Entry Conditions on behalf of every guest and shall ensure that the Entry Conditions are complied with by each person in the group.
All attendees in your group will be required to sign and complete the Attendee Disclaimer (in the form set out below) prior to the entry into the Aqua Park or Cable Ski. Any attendee who fails to complete the Attendee Disclaimer prior to the date in which they are due to attend, will be refused entry and no refund will be issued.
Please be advised we have CCTV throughout the centre for the purposes of crime prevention which complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. In addition, we may record your images for advertising & or marketing purposes.
It is sometimes the case that third parties -including the media- record images of events at Sheffield Cable Water Ski. In such circumstances notices we will try to let customers know, but due to the location of the site (public country park) we may not always be aware of this activity.
Terms and Conditions
DANGER OF PERSONAL INJURY
In participating in watersports activities there is an element of danger and risk of injury to you and your party. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you and your party knowingly agree to take part at your own risk. In the event of harm or injury, howsoever caused, you and your party absolve Sheffield Cable Waterski and its employees.
Participants will ensure their own safety whilst taking reasonable care when undertaking water sport activity.
EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We will not be held liable for disruption or cancellation of bookings by us or you due to events outside our control or Force Majeure Events.
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL INJURY
Sheffield Cable Water Ski accept no responsibility for damage to your equipment or clothing or personal injury whilst undertaking any activity on or around the cable waterski site (including Aqua Park).
SPECIAL EVENTS / CABLE SKI CLOSURES / CABLE SKI MAINTENANCE / AQUA PARK CLOSURES / AQUA PARK MAINTENANCE
We occasionally close the cable ski/ aqua park for special events/ competitions and also maintenance. It is also sometimes essential to close the cable ski for unplanned maintenance to occur. Please check our website/ facebook page or phone for up to date information on opening times. If we need to close the cable ski or aqua park we will endeavour to reschedule your booking. No refunds will be issued where we have removed individual items from the cable ski/ aqua park for maintenance (e.g sliders or kickers/ aqua park apparatus) and the site is still open. The Aqua Park cannot operate during periods of high wind and adverse weather conditions.
CHANGES TO THE CABLE SKI OR AQUA PARK
We will endeavour to ensure that as many inflatables (aqua park) or features (cable ski) are available for use (subject to participant ability for the cable ski), However we reserve the right, without prior notice, to remove any inflatable or feature, that we deem necessary.
Sheffield Cable Water Ski reserves the right to make changes at any time.
Children under the age of 16 must not be left on the premises by themselves at any time. If this is found to be the case, Sheffield Cable Waterski may inform the police immediately.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Only food & beverage bought from Sheffield Cable Water Ski’s own café or bar may be consumed on the premises.
1. Certificates or vouchers are valid up to the expiry date and can not be used after that date.
2. Vouchers or certificate codes cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.
3. Vouchers or certificates/ certificate codes cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or other denominated vouchers.
4. If an intended purchase is for a higher amount than the face value of the voucher(s) or gift certificate code, the
difference can be made up with a credit card payment. If it is less, then change can not be given.
5. Vouchers or gift certificate codes cannot be used in conjunction with any special promotions, discount tokens, coupons or cards.
6. Vouchers / gift certificate codes cannot be sold to any third parties without our consent. If we do give our consent then such consent may be subject to any conditions which we impose. In any event you may not sell the Vouchers/ certificates through the internet without our express written consent, which you must obtain before making any such sale. We reserve the right at all times to refuse to permit any sale of Vouchers/ certificates by you to a third party.
7. Our gift certificates will be emailed to you.
8. If you select to receive a branded Greetings Card you will be sent this via Royal Mail 1st class (or similar) to your billing address. The greetings card itself is not a voucher, only the code that it contained in the generated email can be redeemed online in lieu of payment.
Entry Conditions and Rules for the Cable Ski
JUNIOR RIDERS CLUB
Participants must be 8 years old on or before the date of their session. Wakeboarding and Waterskiing are physically demanding sports and may not be suitable for every 8-12 year old. We reserve the right to refuse admission to your child without refund if we believe this activity would not be suitable for them (for example, if they do not look their age).
ARRIVAL TIME – Cable Ski
Sheffield Cable Waterski requires you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your activity starts for the Cable Ski, Sheffield Cable Waterski reserves the right to refuse admission to late arrivals – we will usually do everything that we can to accommodate your late arrival, but in some circumstances it may be unsafe for you to join a session if you have missed the health and safety brief and we don’t have staff available to brief you individually.
If you arrive too late for your session we will endeavour to reschedule your cable time. If you miss the session completely you will not be entitled to any refund.
INSTRUCTION AND HEALTH AND SAFETY
All first time users of the cable ski MUST be given a safety brief by one of our staff. If you have previously ridden on a FULL-SIZE cable at another site then this may not be required but please speak to one of our staff at reception on arrival.
MINIMUM STANDARDS AND HEALTH
You will need to sign at reception to say that you can see and swim 50 metres and that you do not knowingly suffer from any conditions rendering you unfit to ski. If you have any questions about this please ask one of our staff. Wearing glasses is not permitted on the cable ski.
Under 16 year olds will require permission from their legal guardian to take part in this activity. If you are bringing a group of Under 16 year olds to our site it will be assumed that you have previously been granted parental permission for the child to take part in this activity.
To ensure the safety of all cable ski users, no-one other than our qualified cable ski operators are permitted to teach or provide coaching at our cable without prior permission.
During busy times we may sometimes ask cable users to come off after 3 laps of the cable and queue up again. Day pass users may also be asked to give priority to any large beginner groups booked on during the day.
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
Wetsuits, Buoyancy aids and helmets are available to hire. It is compulsory to wear a buoyancy aid (or impact jacket) and a helmet.
ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION AND BEHAVIOUR
For your own safety and safety of others Sheffield Cable Water Ski reserves the right to ask any customer to leave the cable ski if we believe them to be under the inﬂuence of drink or drugs, behaving irresponsibly, causing disharmony or endangering other cable ski users. In such cases no refund will be given.
Entry Conditions and Rules for the Aqua Park
Entry to the Aqua Park is subject to the Entry Conditions and Rules below. All participants must sign to say they have read, understand and agree to accept the Entry Conditions and Rules of the Aqua Park. If you are signing on behalf of a child (as parent/ guardian) you are signing to say that they child understands the Entry Conditions and Rules and agrees to abide by them too. If you do not adhere to the Entry Conditions and rules of the Aqua Park we have the right to remove you and any other member of your party without any right to a refund.
Whilst at the Aqua Park, you must comply with any reasonable instructions given to you by our personnel or any third party instructed on behalf of us. We reserve the right to vary these Entry Conditions at any time without prior notice.
There is a minimum age of 8 for the Aqua Park and a minimum height of 122 cm. 8-under 11 year old children must be accompanied by an adult at a max of 3 children to one adult. Children 11-18 must be signed in by a parent or guardian that is also booked onto the session (accompanying adults are not free).
All participants must be competent swimmers and be able to swim 50 metres unaided.
By entering the Aqua Park, you accept that you have a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure your own safety, taking into account any personal medical conditions. All persons in and around the Aqua Park should behave in a safe manner at all times and must not act in any manner which may disturb other users of the Aqua Park.
On arrival/ when booking you will be asked to sign to say that you do not suffer from epilepsy or any other medical condition rendering you unfit to take part in this physically exerting activity. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. You will need to be fit enough to pull yourself up out of the water, and it can be very tiring.
Please remove all rings, earrings and jewellery before entering the Aqua Park.
No personal items are permitted on the Aqua Park. No footwear is permitted, unless such footwear is wetsuit shoes. Wearable cameras are only permitted if they are mounted on a chest strap, underneath your buoyancy aid.
You will be supplied with a buoyancy aid as you enter the Aqua Park Lake. You must ensure that all zips and straps are as tight as possible before you start and you may not remove the buoyancy aid until you are back on shore.
You are not permitted to navigate the Aqua Park on your own. You will be placed in groups of 2-3 where you will be responsible for each other. You will need to stay together in your group at all times. When you’re helping people out of the water please pull them up by grabbing their straps on their buoyancy aids. Please do not lift them by their arms.
There can be no physical contact between users on the park. Pushing and shoving is prohibited. Entry into the water must be feet first. No diving at any time. Flips and acrobatics are prohibited. When you’re jumping/sliding in from an obstacle please ensure that your landing area is clear and you’re not jumping into or onto anyone. Do NOT climb up an obstacle directly behind a person to avoid them slipping on top of you.
You’re not permitted to swim under any obstacles.
The Blast bag inflatable has a maximum of 1 person on the launch pad and 1 person jumping onto it. Other equipment also has maximum numbers, please respect our lifeguards and move to another part of the park if you are signalled to do so by a lifeguard.
The Lifeguards are there to ensure your safety. Please respect them and allow them to control the volumes of people on certain equipment.
If you or any one in your party behaves in a manner which we consider to be unsafe or where we believe that you’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol or where you disregard the reasonable instructions given to you by us then we reserve the right to remove you from the Aqua Park.
