About this session

This session is for beginners to kneeboarding/ water-skiing and wakeboarding and riders transitioning from straight-line cable and boat riding to full-size cable. This session runs at normal speed. The session includes a short safety brief and basic instruction at the start of the session, after that you are free to have a go on the cable yourself and join the main session. When you fall, just swim to the bank and walk back to the dock to have another go!

What's included?

Basic equipment hire is included - Helmet hire, buoyancy aid hire and kneeboard/ waterski hire. *Wetsuit hire is not included; but is available to add once you are in the shopping cart. Wakeboard hire is available on site, however most beginners wouldn't need wakeboard hire on their first session unless they can already wakeboard on a boat or straight line cable - see wakeboarding section below for more information.

Wakeboarding

This session starts on a kneeboard*, but once you have competently completed a lap of the cable you're free to hire a wakeboard. Wakeboard hire is available on site on the day. See our prices page for more information.

*If you can already wakeboard behind a boat or straight-line cable then you don't need to kneeboard first, but you will need to take part in our safety brief for full-size cable at the start of this session.

Start Time

Please allow enough time to drive to us through Rother Valley Country Park (see directions online), check-in and then change before your session start time. We recommend arriving 20 mins before your session start time to avoid missing the safety brief start (the safety brief is compulsory for new participants). The session time is 2 hrs, which includes a safety brief followed by time on the water.
