Beginner Cable Session (2 hr)

This session is great fun and a real workout! It's aimed at beginners (12+) to try out riding our full-size cable. The session is a pay and play session but does include a safety brief and basic instruction at the start of the session before you move onto the cable to give it a go yourself! The session usually starts on a kneeboard but wakeboard hire is also available (see further information below).

COVID-19 Restrictions

We are currently operating RESTRICTIONS on cable wake park bookings in order to comply with UK Government regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Please see our Covid-19 Restrictions page for more information.

Thank you for your understanding that not all of our indoor facilities are available at the moment. We hope you still have a great time and enjoy your session!

About this session

This session is for beginners to kneeboarding/ water-skiing and wakeboarding and riders transitioning from straight-line cable and boat riding to full-size cable. The session includes a short safety brief and basic instruction at the start of the session, after that you are free to have a go on the cable yourself and join the main session. When you fall, just swim to the bank and walk back to the dock to have another go!

Start Time

Please allow enough time to drive to us through Rother Valley Country Park (see directions online), check-in and then change before your session start time. We recommend arriving 20 mins before your session start time to avoid missing the safety brief start (the safety brief is compulsory for new participants). The session time is 2 hrs, which includes a safety brief followed by time on the water.

This session starts on a kneeboard*, but once you have competently completed a lap of the cable you're free to hire a wakeboard. Wakeboard hire is available on site on the day and it is available to book in advance (just add to basket at the end of the booking). Please note that because of Covid-19 restrictions we aren't able to physically help anyone set off from the dock so please expect the learning time to be longer if you do hire a wakeboard.

*If you can already wakeboard behind a boat or straight-line cable then you don't need to kneeboard first, but you will need to take part in our safety brief for full-size cable at the start of this session.
